1. UIDAI has temporarily barred Bharti Airtel and Airtel Payments Bank from conducting Aadhaar-based SIM verification of mobile customers using eKYC process as well as e-KYC of payments bank clients.
The action follows allegations of Bharti Airtel using the Aadhaar-eKYC based SIM verification process to open payments bank accounts of its subscribers without their informed consent.
2. Tripura CM Manik Sarkar*inaugurated *Indo-Bangla Friendship Park*at *Chottakhola in South Tripura district.
This park is a historic witness of friendship between Tripura and Bangladesh.
3. Union Government has approved the continuation of Centrally Sponsored Scheme of National Ayush Mission (NAM) from 01.04.2017 to 31.03.2020*with an outlay of *Rs. 2400 crore over the 3 year period. The Mission was launched in September, 2014.
4. 3rd World Telugu Conference began in Hyderabad.
The main aim of the Conference is to promote Telugu and its literature besides helping the present generation learn more about Telugu language and its rich culture and heritage.
5.The emblems of the Beijing 2022 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games have been named “Winter Dream” and “Flight,” respectively.
6. State Bank of India introduced a loyalty program*for its valued customers. This program is called as *State Bank Rewardz, the program gives the customers several opportunities to earn reward points and earn many times faster at Max Get More partner outlets.
7. World Health Organisation has declared Gabon a "polio-free country".
Cases of polio have decreased by 99% since 1988,*when polio was endemic in *125 countries and 350,000 cases were recorded worldwide.
